so few days of school left. so daunting to know i must attend all of them.

sour cherry pie recipies are moot when you can't find any sour cherries to buy! three separate grocery stores. i found this neat boxed creamy portabello soup though, that i'm excited to try for dinner tonight. then i'm going to make the two pies: one chocolate orange pecan, one apricot raspberry (instead of the planned sour cherry). since my kitchen counter is tiled, i have to dig out all the cookie sheets to roll out the dough. i also got some of the new crop of tangerines to macerate and have over brownies. my friends are so spoiled...

there's something so utterly soothing about cooking.
