urgh. got my wisdom teeth out on tuesday, and i've been in a daze of percoset and pain ever since then. chewing is hard. opening my mouth is hard. spitting blood is super-sexxxxy.

dave is here to visit, which must be thrilling for him, since i'm all cranky and short-tempered all the time. but he tells me endless stories about scholastic bowl and writing email gateways, so i guess we're even. :) and perhaps this will persuade me to go to seattle to visit sometime to make up for my rotten temperament.

sent dave off to the airport obscenely early. have spent the three hours since then crippled with mouth pain. why is the pain and swelling getting Worse every day instead of better? this is not very encouraging. i wish my parents would get up so they could drive me to the coffee shop so i could read the new york times and moan into my tea.

i go back to the surgeon this afternoon for them to check on things, so maybe they'll let me know what's going on, or when i should expect it to get better. maybe i'll just spend the whole day on the couch watching videos. thank god for best of 2001 lists for inspiration.
