thatabbygirlthe bar starts on tuesday.
on tuesday morning, i will write three one-hour essays about any one or combination of the 14 topics we are responsible for knowing. tuesday afternoon, i have three hours to complete a "performance test"--we're given a fake file of client info, a fake library of fake law, and a fake memo from a fake boss giving us a fake task. well, a real task, actually, because that's what we write about for three hours.
on wednesday, i do, over the morning and afternoon, 200 multiple choice questions about a subset of the topics we're responsible for. each question is 3-4 paragraphs long.
on thursday, i do what i did on tuesday all over again.
i'll be staying in a hotel near the exam site to prevent driving mishaps and reduce stress during the exam. i've scoped out places to eat lunch and come up with a plan for breakfast.
i feel right now that i've studied about as much as a girl can study for this kind of thing. any further studying seems like a waste or time--yet i have all this time before the exam so it seems like i should be studying, right? i'm trying to keep myself occupied with entertaining activities to distract me so i don't lunge towards my flashcards, but not many people are around this weekend so it's been pretty hard.
i wish it were tomorrow so i could get it over with and never have to think about this bullshit ever again.
there's another big life crisis shebang coming up after the bar (when should abby start her realjobTM, and if she decides to wait, what should she do in the meantime?) but i'm going to wait until the bar is actually over to dive into that one.
