affirmative action law stuff
Apr. 1st, 2003 10:45 amhi. i'm back. vacation summary stuff will come later.
i just wanted to say that today, they're having the oral arguments in front of the supreme court in the case about the university of michigan's affirmative action policies. a case that could be totally determinative for the law regarding racial preferences in higher education. i am so nervous about the outcome of this case because the possibility that the final decision will reflect my (considered and i think well informed) opinion on this area of law seems mind-bogglingly slim. i'm terrified to see where the cabal of evil justices (yes, i really think of them like that sometimes) can take this area of law.
so just hope things work out, i guess. hope sandra day o'connor pulls through.
